This restaurant is small, but it’s size offers a comfortable cozy atmosphere.  During warmer weather additional seating is available outside.  The decor adds a light and airy feeling, while the stellar service makes your experience relaxing and fun.  What really sets Chair 6 apart from other restaurants, however, its their extremely fresh and inventive menu.

This place offers some of the best breakfast in Lake Placid!Everything is house-made at Chair 6.  From the fresh bread used for your buttered toast and stuffed french toast, to the delicious jams and jellies you smear on them.  Even the juice is fresh squeezed! Try crazy (yet delicious) dishes like sweet potato pancakes, or get your fix or more traditional breakfast like buttermilk pancakes and french toast.  Breakfast burritos, huevos rancheros, eggs benedict, and omelettes are all on the menu as well! There are plenty of breakfast options here.

Lunch is just as much a special treat as breakfast.  Choose from an array of specialty sandwiches, served on fresh bread.  Like the Placid Lake Sandwich, featuring rosemary chicken, fresh mozzarella cheese, roasted bell peppers, wile arugula, and pesto mayo.   If one of their delicious sandwiches or salads doesn’t entice you, build your own!  All of their ingredients are at your disposal.   Same goes for their salads!  And of course, don’t forget to order a cup of the daily house-made soup.  Depending on when you go, you’ll find something delicious like apple butternut squash soup.

While breakfast and lunch at Chair 6 are delicious, dinner is the real highlight.  Food is sourced from local farms and tastes so fresh you’ll swear you can actually taste the season.   The dinner menu always features something delicious, like oyster Rockefeller pancake, cranberry risotto, roasted wild boar served with Brussels sprouts and berries, and pan seared scallops over mushroom and pumpkin hash.  The chef’s specialty ravioli selection is always to die for.
