For delicious ethnic food while you’re in the Adirondacks, check out Himalaya Restaurant.  Offering Nepalese, Tibetan, and Bhutanese cuisine, this is an experience you may not find anywhere else.

The restaurant is small and cozy and decorated so that you feel like you’ve taken a trip to the far east.  Lanterns, flags, and other objects cover the walls and ceiling to help transport you to another place.

Try interesting and unique dishes and drinks from afar like butter tea, a traditional drink enjoyed in Tibet, Bhutan, China, and India.

If you like Indian food, you will love Nepali food, especially from this restaurant.  Everything is exceptionally flavorful without being overwhelming. Everything is made when you order, so it’s always fresh and made to your desired heat level! You’ll love the traditional flavors, and each dish has an explanation on the menu so you won’t have to wonder about what it is.  There are also plenty of gluten-free options on the menu.

Service is swift and employees are friendly and warm.

This might be your first experience with Himalayan food, but it definitely won’t be your last! You’ll want to come back every time you’re in Plattsburgh!
