In the larger cities of the Finger Lakes Region there’s no end to the types of restaurants at which you can dine.  Rochester and Ithaca can offer you just about anything you can think of.  As you venture outside of that urban setting you’ll find restaurants more focused on showcasing local produce and products, supporting local farms and organic practices.

Local wines are a favorite and often make an appearance on the menu.  Many local wineries have a bistro or restaurant as well.

Suzanne Fine Regional Cuisine – Lodi, NY

This restaurant may seem a bit out of the way, but it’s well worth the travel.  Sitting on a 10 acre farm overlooking Seneca Lake, this restaurant offers organic, farm fresh ingredients imaginatively prepared by chef and owner Suzanne Stack.  They have over 60 local wines on offer and many are paired with the menu.  It’s a true Finger Lakes gem that should not be missed.

The Restaurant at Benn Conger Inn – Groton, NY

Set in the former home of Benn Conger, an infamous bootlegger and raqueteer, this historic home gives the restaurant a cozy, unique feeling.   This is the perfect setting for an intimate get together or a romantic evening.

The Copper Oven – Ovid, NY

Located at Cayuga Ridge Estate Winery, this restaurant specializes in wood fired pizza and their seasonal menu is entirely made from locally produced ingredients.  It’s the perfect place to stop for a relaxed atmosphere and a great glass of wine.

Moro’s Table – Auburn, NY

At Moro’s Table, the chef aims to use freshest, best ingredients available from the agricultural haven that surrounds the Finger Lakes region.  Dishes are based in simplicity to deliver a perfect balance of flavor.  At Moro’s Table your meal isn’t just what you’re eating it’s your entire experience, and they aim to make it as memorable as possible.

Rheinblick German Restaurant – Canadaigua, NY

Owners Gudrun, and Gary aim to give you a ‘view of the Rhein’ and a taste of their homeland at this authentic German restaurant.  Sit inside, or go out and take in the beirgarten as you enjoy sizable portions, delicious German draft beer, and a great, relaxed atmosphere after a day on the lake!
